We are delighted to announce the promotion of Jeanette Gaskill to the position of Manager of Design at Coastal Cottage of Amelia (CCOA). Jeanette has been an invaluable part of our team since 2017, and her journey here has been nothing short of inspiring. She was appointed as Lead Designer in 2022 when Yvonne Fenn revitalized Coastal Cottage, transforming it into an interior design and home gift boutique. Jeanette’s exceptional creativity, dedication, and leadership have been integral to the growth and success of our store.
About Jeanette Gaskill: Jeanette is married to her best friend, Gary, and they share a loving family, including two daughters – one residing in Australia and the other in Georgia – as well as two stepsons. Their family wouldn’t be complete without Chloe, their sweet rescue dog.
Originally from Michigan, Jeanette has called Florida home for the past 40 years, with four of those years spent living abroad in Dubai, UAE. She now enjoys life on the beach, where the natural beauty continues to inspire her design work.
Jeanette’s diverse background includes years of volunteer work and experience in retail boutiques and restaurants across Florida. While in Dubai, she worked as a teacher’s aide in a special needs school and with the USO, supporting our troops abroad. Jeanette also led as President of the Parent Teacher Organization at an international school, showcasing her leadership and community-oriented spirit.
What She Loves About Coastal Cottage of Amelia: Jeanette’s eight years at CCOA have been filled with wonderful connections. “I’ve developed wonderful friendships with our community and am thrilled to have a fantastic team to work alongside, especially Yvonne, who has a beautiful vision for the store!” she shares.
Her Passion for Design and Customers:
Jeanette’s passion for design shines through in every project she undertakes. “When a customer comes to us and asks for our help, I am touched that they trust us to invite us into their homes. I enjoy bringing a sense of peace in the process of either completing a room or a whole new design that leaves them happy with a home they always wanted. Interior design is very personal to the individual. When I get to know the client and bring that personality into the design – it’s magic! I truly love what I do!”
